Copyright / IT Law

Legal support in drafting and negotiating IT agreements, including implementation agreements, maintenance agreements, agreements on the transfer of copyright and licence agreements..

IT law is an area in which legal precision translates directly into business security. A poorly drafted implementation agreement, unclear provisions on the transfer of copyright or the absence of appropriate SLA provisions may give rise to serious risk — in practice for either party.  The international dimension gives rise to further challenges: questions arise as to the applicable law, jurisdiction and compliance with the rules in force in different legal systems. In practice, it is essential to define the subject matter of the agreement precisely - exactly what is to be created. It is also worth bearing in mind, among other things, provisions on liability for defects, error-reporting procedures and the rules governing the use of open source components, which increasingly form an integral part of systems.

  • Implementation and maintenance contracts
Drafting and negotiating IT agreements — agile, waterfall, body leasing, SaaS.
  • Software copyright
Transfer of rights, fields of exploitation, derivative rights, open source code.
  • Licensing and distribution models
Exclusive and non-exclusive licences, EULAs, framework licences.
  • Legal audits of IT projects
Risk analysis, due diligence, review of existing contracts.
  • AI Act
The Artificial Intelligence Act imposes specific obligations on providers and users of AI systems — depending on the level of risk. Classification of systems, preparation of technical documentation, agreements between the provider and the deployer, and bringing existing products into line with the requirements of the AI Act.
